The Gyan Peethika School students like to engage themselves in performing various little experiments in Our School’s Tinker Lab. The Gyan Peethika School celebrated the 78th Independence Day. Independence Day is crucial as it commemorates the end of colonial rule and the birth of a nation’s sovereignty. It serves as a reminder of the struggles and sacrifices made by freedom fighters who fought for the country’s freedom. This day fosters national pride, unity, and patriotism, encouraging citizens to reflect on their nation’s values and responsibilities.
On August 15th, our school came alive with the spirit of patriotism as we celebrated India’s Independence Day. The day began with the traditional flag hoisting ceremony followed by the lighting of the lamp. The ceremony was accompanied by the singing of the national anthem and march past creating a sense of unity and pride among students and teachers.
The celebrations continued with a series of engaging activities. Students from various grades performed patriotic songs, dances, and skits that highlighted the significance of freedom and the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. The performances were both educational and entertaining, leaving the audience inspired and reflective. Then the students delivered a brief valuable speech on the significance of the day.
Overall, the Independence Day celebration at our school was a wonderful blend of reverence and festivity, fostering a strong sense of national pride and unity.

An Exhibition is a wonderful tool that engages students in learning new facts. It develops in them the curiosity to learn more. It provides a platform for the students to use their scientific knowledge and bring the best invention from their brains. It also allows students to work together in groups and learn from each other. They share their ideas and collectively galvanize those ideas to bring something innovative into implementation. This further allows the students to develop their social and moral skills and make them a better team player. The students showcased their talent and knowledge of science in a very attractive and impressive manner.

Navratri and Dusherra Celebration
The Gyan Peethika School celebrated Navratri and Dusherra on the 9th of October 2024.
Dussehra, the triumph of good over evil, is not just a festival; it’s a celebration of values and traditions. Dussehra isn’t just about watching the effigies of Ravana burn; it’s a time for children to understand the importance of virtues like truth, courage, and righteousness.
Navratri commemorates Goddess Durga’s victory over the demon Mahishasura and the triumph of good over evil. The festival is dedicated to the goddess Durga, who is worshipped in nine different forms over the nine nights of Navratri. Each day is associated with a color that symbolizes a unique quality, such as strength, happiness, or prosperity.
Painting Competition- Kakori Kand
On August 7, 2024, Town Intercollege Ballia hosted a vibrant Intercollege Painting competition that drew participation from various schools, including Gyan Peethika School. The event centered around the Historical Theme of the Kakori Kand, commemorating the significant train robbery executed by Indian revolutionaries in 1925.
The Kakori Train Robbery, is a significant event in India’s fight for independence. This armed robbery took place on August 9, 1925, on a train journeying through central Uttar Pradesh.
Students from Gyan Peethika School showcased their artistic talents and historical knowledge through their creative and poignant depictions of the Kakori Kand.

Parents Teachers Meeting (PTM)
The main objective of the PTM was to empower parents with insights into their children’s academic progress, Safety & Security, Health & wellness, child skill development and inform them about the school’s initiatives for better learning. For parents, it’s a window into the school’s pedagogy.

‘A Nation’s Culture Resides in the Hearts and Souls of its People.’
GYAN PEETHIKA SCHOOL celebrated the 75th Republic Day with dignity and joy on a pleasant morning of 26th January 2024.
The Chief Guest for the event, Dr.Amita Singh along with the dignitaries unfurled the national flag and the school very melodiously sang the National Anthem and the Flag song ‘Jhanda Ooncha’ with great pride and zeal.
An inspiring speech was delivered by Jigyanshu Rai a Class 9 student on the theme ‘Indian constitution’. Deepika Yadav , Shristi Sharma spoke of our country’s advancement in almost all the fields today and encouraged all the students to contribute towards the same through her speech in Hindi language.
Further on, a graceful dance performance ‘vandeMataram’ was put up by the students of Class 11 which gave a message of peace and harmony to the coming generations of India.
A rhythmic Hindi Choral Recitation’Vijai vishva tiranga pyara’ was sung by the students of Class 11. The chorus song described the challenges our forefathers had to face during the initial years post independence and how the New Rising India is all set to lead the world towards a meaningful ‘Way of Life’ in new era that we call ‘Amrit Kaal’.
Next in line was an energy packed patriotic dance medley by students of Classes 7 to 11 which captivated the audience present there. The essence of the dance was to remind us of the sacrifices of our soldiers at the borders, bring a sense of self worth of our country and the vibrancy of different cultures. The performance was the main highlight of the programme.
Keeping the theme of ‘Nationalism and ’ in mind, the Lower Primary performed‘ Nanha munna rahi hu’ beautiful dance.
The celebration was concluded with high spirits and bliss.

TREE PLANTATION DRIVE In Gyan Peethika School
The Department of Horticulture and Food Processing, Uttar Pradesh, District-Ballia organised Plantation drive” on *20th July 2024 in Gyan Peethika School. The theme was * “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,” which translates to “A Tree in the Name of Mother.
The Main Chief Guest for the event was the District Horticulture Officer Ms. Alka Srivastav. Her presence and insights were greatly appreciated by all attendees. Graced and associated with Inner Wheel Club Of Ballia president Ms .Sarika singh secretary Ms.Nandini Tiwari, Coordinator Ms.Anita Sinha ,Dr.Ashu , Dr.Amita Singh, past president IWC and Gyan Peethika Society Member , Mrs.Reena Singh past president IWC and Gyan Peethika Principal Ms.Asha Sharma, all teachers and students.Their support and encouragement were pivotal to the success of the event.
The event aimed to promote environmental awareness.
The event was designed to foster environmental awareness and encourage community participation in greening efforts. The day’s activities included a variety of engaging and educational events: Green Pledge, Green Marathon, Nukad Natak, Skit, Plantation (Medicinal Plants, Shadow Tree, Mahogany, Mango, Neem etc), Painting Competition.
The school’s Principal, along with teachers and students, actively participated in all the activities, making the event a grand success. The enthusiasm and commitment shown by everyone involved were commendable.

Vocational Training Programme
Students of Gyan Peethika School have undertaken a project to make eco-friendly diyas (lamps) from cow dung. World Sparrow Day is observed every year to raise awareness. In recent years, these birds have been on the verge of extinction across much of their natural range, both in urban and rural habitats. Their decline is an indicator of the continuous degradation of the environment around us. We hope that on this day individuals, various government agencies, and scientific communities would come up with measures to save them.
The School assembly was filled with inspiration as students delivered impactful speeches and presentation sharing their thoughts on the importance of protecting these little creatures and how it also saves the biodiversity.
