Our academic focus is on enriching lives through a proactive philosophy of teaching with the child at the center of our efforts. Our multi-dimensional curriculum design combines the best of traditional and modern educational practices delivering a holistic approach to education.
GPS offers nationally established CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) curriculum.
The core curriculum in our primary and middle school includes the best of the board, thus giving a competitive edge to our young learners and the leaders of tomorrow. At Gyan Peethika, the learning objectives are successfully combined with our philosophy of focusing on our students and their learning needs. The uniqueness of our course lies in its flexibility to upgrade with changes in the field of education.
The prime focus of our curriculum is to innovate teaching-learning methodologies by developing paradigms that are conducive for students. Thus, assessment system at GPS ensures that our students are never over-burdened.
Interdisciplinary teaching methodology dissolves boundaries of subjects and encourages learning across the curriculum. Here, we have eliminated the age-old concept of teaching subjects in isolation. This cultivates higher-order thinking abilities, encouraging our young geniuses to focus on their critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Further, Gyan Peethika has curated innovative curriculum to address the need of the hour and our students’ learning abilities.
Our education methodology involves:
- Integrating curriculum based on progressive teaching methods like Judo Gyan, Sparkle Science, and Rocket Readers
- Cognitive, language and motor skill development
- Phonics Development
- Social, emotional and personality development and a lot more
For the pre-primary, we have combined the best practices of Montessori as well as traditional systems of education, to create an atmosphere which is focussed on growth with values. Learning is through a multi-sensory approach, in which all five senses are tapped. (For instance, reading is introduced through phonics and whole language.) Different spaces are assigned for different activities. Autodidactic or self-correcting equipment—coloured blocks are a simple example—is used to teach different concepts.
At the middle level, students are encouraged to explore the relationship between practical and theoretical concepts of various subjects. Thus, our students learn to analyse how the topic extends beyond the classroom and into the outside world.
For the high school it offers CBSE recommended school books and study materials for the students. Our students can avail supplementary books and sample question papers for greater success in examinations conducted by the Board. The activity-based flexible curriculum and the various teaching aids used by our school facilitate a wholesome learning experience for our young geniuses.
