Gyan Peethika believes that the purpose of education is to replace an empty mind with an open mind. The direction in which education starts a child will determine his future life. The whole object of education should be to develop the mind that works and, to free a child`s potential by instilling in him/ her a curiosity to learn, so that he/she will continue to learn as long as he/she lives. Being the oldest C.B.S.E School in Ballia Gyan Peethika always remained a centre for a great number of activities at school, cluster, regional and national levels providing opportunities and exposure for children to a wide variety of invaluable learning experiences.
School Governance and Management:- No institution can survive without proper and visionary leadership. Gyan Peethika is fortunate to have leadership of visionary management and governance. Constant motivation and energetic leadership qualities keep Gyan Peethika on pinnacle. S.M.C calls meeting of members twice in a year to review its work and future plans.
Academics:- Gyan Peethika is setting place for the implementation of new teaching, testing and evaluation programmes. Gyan peethika provides opportunities to the children to participate in various activities and helps them to earn better credits. Gyan Peethika is also focusing and high lighting the issues related to past education system which have its own merits and demerits so that it can be reformed through modern education practices. There is no detention in primary and secondary classes. Result of Secondary (Class X) 100% & Result of Senior Secondary (Class XII) ——74% in 2018.
Sports and Games Events:- The student of Gyan Peethika in this session took a lot of interest in physical activities, especially in games and athletics. Students participated in football, cricket, volleyball, hand ball, kabbadi, badminton, table tennis, chess etc. Shiv Shakti Yadav of class XII held third position in 800 metre race held in Veer Lorik Stadium the school Volleyball (girls) team played a tournament at the cluster V level held in Little Flower School, Mau where the team reached up the semi-finals.
The boys Handball team led by Satish Kumar Singh of class XI participated in the handball tournament held in the Veer Lorik Stadium Ballia. The school Kabbadi Team led by Satendra Kumar represented the school in the Columbus International School, Rasara at cluster V level held by the C.B.S.E.
Athletic Meet at Gyan Peethika:- The annual athlete meet of Gyan Peethika was held on 15th December 2018 displaying the qualities of sportsmanship and teamwork of student. The programme started by March Past, the sprawling playground wore of festive look with colourful backdrop and well laid tracks. The sports meet was declared open by director Ms. Reena Singh followed by lightning of torch. Student of Nursery to VIII presented drills, Senior students presented patriotic dance in army costume, `Kandho Se Milate Hai Kandhe`, Ms. Reena emphasized to participate in physical activities like sports, Yoga as it inculcates Good habits, confidence and Discipline in students. Ms. Jyotsana told about linguistic activities organized for holistic development of the students. The best three performances were awarded by Principal Ms. Madhuri Pandey and Ms. Reena Singh vice Principal Amita presented vote of thanks.
Co-Curricular Activities:- Co-curricular activities provide children opportunities to showcase their talents. House wise competitions were conducted throughout the year. Solo Singing, English recitation, Quiz, Drawing and Painting, Group Song and Goup Dance were conducted. Fancy dress competition was held in school at primary level. A number of competitions were conducted in September in connection with “ Swachatta Pakhwara“. In this activity, both students and teachers took part with great enthusiasm. A rally was organized by primary students to create awareness among people. Days of National And International importance like- World Yoga Day, Earth Day, Women`s Day, Children`s Day, Independence Day, Republic Day, Quit India, were celebrated on these occasions to promote unity and harmony and to spread the message of peace and brotherhood.
Art Competitions:- Our students participated and won certificate in drawing and painting competition in junior level and senior level. The theme was given by P.C.R.A.
Library:- Our library have been enriched with more number of Newspapers, Magazines, Periodicals and Acquisition of a large number of books in fiction and in all school’s subjects both in Hindi and in English.

Science Exhibition:- Science makes a student perfect and more visionary. In this regard, Gyan Peethika always stands at higher platform. Teachers have gone through rigorous training of whole one month. Sparkle Science workshop was held in May month. In June, Science Summer Camp for age group (7 years to 14 years student) was organized. In November month, N.T.S.E exam was held and district level rankers are- Aman Maurya of Class- VI, Mohit Kumar of Class-VI and Arpit of Class VI. In November month, science exhibition was organized, in which class I to VII students took participation, displayed models were based on working procedure.
Mathematics and Social Science Activities:- In Maths, Jodo Gyan activity at primary level has done. In Social Science, students upto class IX have made a number of models related to History, Geography and Civilian manners. Quizzes in Maths and Social Science have been conducted on regular basis.
IT Sector:- The school has got N Computing System for betterment. There are 51 computers for computer teaching and learning as it is necessary for today`s challenging society. Our Environment Concern:- Gyan Peethika always shows concern to save environment. In this regard, we recycle our waste and segregate by composting. We recycle our e-waste by making some new things. We use 85% solar power to save electricity consumption. Our school always emphasize to protect our environment so that plantation of various types of beneficial plants have been done by student, under the guidance of respective teachers. Our school is determined to use less non-biodegradable substances or products. Our school held time to time awareness campaign / rally (Swachtta Pakhwara) etc.
Infrastructure:- The newly constructed Primary Block have been added with four more rooms. New C.C.T.V cameras have been installed. Fire alarm panel has been installed. Repairing of floors and repairing of doors and windows have been finished. The teacher`s job is to keep children change for better. The process of teaching is a cooperative endeavour. So, Gyan Peethika proudly states“ Pursuing excellence“.
