The word Yoga has been coined from Sanskrit word ‘Yuj’ which means ‘to join’ or ‘to yoke’. Yoga is both science and art based on the harmonizing system of development of your body, mind, and spirit. The practice of asanas of Yoga makes one strong and flexible. It also improves the functioning of digestive, respiratory, circulatory and hormonal systems.
Research has shown that Yoga can help in reducing mental stress of children which may creep in through many sources like lesser performance in exams, excessive classwork and homework load, less attention and time given by parents and many other aspects. Certain pranayama and asanas also help in improving concentration which improves the performance, thinking and learning ability.
Thus, we make our students perform some sets of asanas and pranayams of Yoga on a daily basis, to help them keep fit, experience the peace that comes from within and improves their focus on their desired goals.
